The Role

Unite Students is seeking a highly skilled Learning Manager to join their team in Bristol. As a key member of the People team, this role will play a crucial part in embedding the newly introduced Academy, focusing on core Safety learning offerings. The successful candidate will drive the development and implementation of best-in-class learning programs and L&D roadmaps, aligning with Unite Students' objective to become a high-performing, high-capability organization and a great place to work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Learning & Development team in preparing and implementing learning strategies within the Academy, championing growth and development for all employees across the business.
  • Work with key stakeholders to drive the upskilling of teams across the organization, prioritizing Safety and meeting business needs.
  • Design, build, and deliver learning content that has a direct impact on enabling teams and individuals to learn and grow, while forming strong L&D frameworks that integrate Unite Students' culture and values.
  • Support the design and delivery of various learning methods, including coaching, mentoring, job shadowing, online, virtual, and face-to-face learning, ensuring all employees are supported from induction to on-the-job development and leadership development.
  • Collaborate with the Learning & Development Coordinator to arrange live learning events, workshops, and make new online learning available to the right audiences.
  • Facilitate workshops, small group learning events, and implement a mix of blended learning activities, from job skilling to management development.
  • Drive the upskilling of teams across the business, focusing on improving the Safety-led culture and developing behavioral change in key Safety areas.
  • Support the selection and embedding of a new Talent/LMS system to enable the implementation of the Academy.

  • A proven experience in a range of L&D activities in a fast-paced environment, ideally responsible for building, designing, and evaluating L&D activities while working as part of a team.
