Regulatory Compliance Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Regulatory Compliance Specialist to join our team in the Global Auto Care division at Energizer Holdings. As a key member of our regulatory team, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with local market regulations, developing and implementing robust regulatory strategies, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive product development timelines.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will have a strong understanding of chemicals regulations and Safety Data Sheets (Europe) pertaining to product ingredients, classification, labelling and packaging. You will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. In addition, you will have experience in consumer goods, preferably in the chemical industry.
Responsibilities- Represent Regulatory on cross-functional product development and commercialization teams, providing expert guidance on local market regulatory requirements, risk assessments and strategies.
- Ensure local market compliance of new and existing products.
- Review and approve claims, packaging/labeling, and marketing communication materials (aligned within in-house process).
- Remain current with emerging/changing regulations, interpret complex information and summarize impact for other functions/leadership teams, in a clear, concise and focused manner.
- Interact with industry trade groups and Regulatory authorities.
- Regulatory research.
- Maintain technical and safety documents as appropriate for internal and external stakeholders.
- BSc in a related field, with 5+ years of experience and understanding of safety data sheets and chemical formulations.
- Excellent English fluency.
- Significant knowledge of chemicals regulations and Safety Data Sheets (Europe) pertaining to product ingredients, classification, labelling and packaging.
- Excellent communication both verbal and written, interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Detail oriented to produce accurate and timely results.
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and work independently.
- Ability to change focus quickly.
- Ability to apply general guidance to varied situations.
- Collaborative, team player.
- Proficient in Microsoft IT packages.
- Experience in consumer goods (preferably chemical).
- Creative thinker.
- Willingness to learn and adapt.
- An estimated salary of $80,000 - $110,000 per year, based on location and experience.
