Key Responsibilities- Plan and deliver dynamic lessons that cater to the diverse needs of students with SEN, working collaboratively with support staff to ensure a comprehensive support plan.
- Provide individualised support and guidance to students, promoting their academic and personal development, and maintaining accurate records of student progress and development.
- Collaborate with colleagues and external professionals to create comprehensive support plans for students with SEN, fostering positive relationships with students, parents, and carers.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent qualification in SEN education, with a strong understanding of different SEN needs and effective strategies for supporting students.
- Previous experience of working in a SEN school setting, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a dedication to promoting inclusion and equality in education.
The school is an all-through institution catering for primary and secondary aged students, with a strong emphasis on collaboration between staff, students, parents, and management for success. The school prides itself on being a happy and ambitious institution that focuses on academic, social, and emotional enrichment, with a strong pastoral system providing support, guidance, and a secure environment for students to thrive and develop confidence.
The school uses a primary model, emphasising core subjects of English, Maths and Science daily, with specialist subjects including music and food technology, which are also integrated in the timetable, as well as off-site sport activities.
