About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Perinatal Mental Health Nurse to join our dynamic team at Devon Partnership NHS Trust. As a key member of our Specialist Mother and Baby Unit, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care to women, infants, and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert nursing care to women and infants with perinatal mental health needs
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of education and training programs for staff and patients
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and experiences
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Registration as a Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) with the NMC
  • Experience of working with adults and/or perinatal mental health nursing and the nursing process
  • Knowledge of the Mental Health Act 1987 (including updates) and the Mental Capacity Act
  • Ability to work flexibly, including night duties, and participate in the internal ward shift rotation
