Perinatal Mental Health Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (Mental Health) to join our Specialist Mother & Baby Unit at Jasmine Lodge in Exeter, Devon. As a key member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work therapeutically with women, their infant, and their families to support recovery and discharge.
Key Responsibilities- Provide high-quality nursing care to patients on the Mother & Baby Unit, working collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to achieve positive outcomes.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with patients, their families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care delivery.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of individualized care plans, taking into account the unique needs and circumstances of each patient.
- Participate in the internal 24-hour, 7-day-a-week rota to meet the needs of patients, demonstrating flexibility and a commitment to delivering exceptional care.
- Lead by example, demonstrating sound clinical decision-making and leadership skills, and supporting junior staff through supervision and guidance.
- RMN/Registered Nurse (Mental Health) with current registration.
- Experience of adult and/or perinatal mental health nursing and the nursing process.
- Knowledge of the Mental Health Act 1987 (including updates), the Mental Capacity Act, and Deprivation of Liberty safeguards.
- Ability to form positive therapeutic relationships with patients, carers, and other professional bodies.
- Willingness to complete Trust Mandatory Courses and relevant Physical Interventions training.
