Senior Medical Physician

We are seeking an experienced Consultant Geriatrician to join our team at Somerset NHS Foundation Trust. As a Geriatric Medicine Specialist, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our geriatric medicine services.
Job DescriptionYour primary responsibility will be to manage and be responsible for the diagnosis and treatment of patients in Musgrove Park Hospital, working closely with Dr James Gagg, Associate Medical Director (Medicine). You will also participate in on-call rotas to provide emergency cover and enhanced medical/geriatric medicine support to the hospital.
Key Skills and Qualifications- FRCP or equivalent qualification in Geriatric Medicine.
- Proven experience in managing and treating patients with complex geriatric conditions.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
£85,000-£110,000 per annum, plus additional benefits, including flexible working, NHS pension scheme, generous annual leave allowance, and a commitment to career development. You will also be eligible for our Blue Light Card and exclusive shopping & leisure discounts.
