Job Title: Planning Manager

We are seeking an experienced Planning Manager to join our team at People Group Limited. As a Planning Manager, you will be responsible for leading a planning team across a significant and complex construction programme with an anticipated annual investment of ~£50M.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a leading client in the Transport sector, where you will have the ability to significantly impact the strategy and delivery of this substantial investment plan. You will work closely with project Sponsors from the early project stages, ensuring that the programme is delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop, implement, and deliver effective planning and assurance processes across the programme.
  • Lead the planning of projects across all stages of their lifecycle, from concept to delivery and closeout.
  • Work closely with the project team to ensure that the programme is delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and mitigate risks, and to develop and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including project sponsors, contractors, and suppliers.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience of working on a multi-year project/programme in the construction or infrastructure sectors.
  • Extensive experience of Primavera P6 and a strong understanding of the NEC form of contract.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to lead a small team and work effectively with stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate risks.
