Mental Health Assessment Specialist

An exciting opportunity to support the Victims' Payment Board (VPB) in delivering a clinical assessment service for the Troubles Permanent Disablement Payment Scheme. The successful candidate will have experience in mental health or psychiatric backgrounds with more than two years' post-registration experience.
Key Responsibilities:
• Review medical evidence from applicants to determine the permanence of an applicant's condition and their percentage disablement
• Gather relevant information from applicants and healthcare professionals to support TPDPS applications
• Compile comprehensive reports detailing history, justification, and conclusion based on evidence gathered
Requirements:
• A minimum of 2 years' post-registration experience as a registered nurse
• Fully registered without sanction or conditions of practice with the NMC
• Demonstrable background in Mental Health or Psychiatric speciality
• Ability to work at pace, manage conversations, and maintain timescales
• Excellent report writing skills using laptops and IT systems
