Child and Adolescent Mental Health Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated Clinical/Counselling Psychologist to join our CAMHS Crisis and Intensive Community Support Team. The successful candidate will provide specialist psychological assessments, formulations, and interventions to young people experiencing acute mental health crises. This role offers the opportunity to work with children and young people presenting with a broad range of mental health and neurodiverse needs.
About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to innovative mental health services while making a meaningful impact on the lives of children, young people, and their families. As a Clinical Psychologist within the team, you will:
- Provide psychological input to multi-agency risk management plans.
- Offer consultation, supervision, and training to colleagues and external agencies to promote psychological understanding.
- Contribute to service development and quality improvement initiatives.
Your Expertise
We are looking for a compassionate, motivated, and skilled Clinical Psychologist with:
- Post-graduate training in Clinical Psychology (doctoral level or equivalent prior to 1996), accredited by the BPS.
- HCPC registration as a Practitioner Psychologist (or pending registration for 2024 graduates).
- Experience working with children, young people, and families, particularly in crisis or intensive support contexts.
- Excellent clinical skills and a passion for working with children and young people experiencing complex mental health challenges.

Salary and Benefits
