About the Role

Aldwych Consulting is seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor to join their team in Cambridge. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in the delivery of exciting new projects across various sectors, including education, residential, healthcare, and life science.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Cost Planning and Estimation: Develop and implement cost plans and estimates across the lifecycle of projects, ensuring accurate and up-to-date data.
  2. Estimate and Budget Reviews: Produce detailed estimates and budget reviews for a wide range of sectors, identifying trends and cost drivers.
  3. Data Analysis and Reporting: Collect, analyze, and define the needs of clients and stakeholders, producing Analysis and Benchmarking Reports that promote value for money.
  4. Commercial Focus: Champion innovation within the organization and on the client-side, shaping investment decisions based on value for money.
  5. Stakeholder Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and team members, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
Requirements
  1. Commercial Experience: Familiarity with commercial roles and functions for large capital programs, preferably in the UK transportation sector.
  2. Communication and Teamwork: Excellent communication skills, collaboration, and teamwork abilities, with a focus on stakeholder management and client-facing attributes.
  3. Data Analysis and Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills, mathematical skills, and problem-solving capabilities, with a focus on data analysis and commercial decision-making.
  4. Workload Planning and Prioritization: Ability to plan and prioritize workloads, providing regular progress reports to stakeholders.
