Quantity Surveyor - Major Infrastructure Projects

We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to manage the commercial delivery of major infrastructure projects. Our client, a leading electrical services contractor, requires a skilled professional to oversee the commercial aspects of their work on high-profile projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Manage the commercial delivery of key projects, from procurement through to final account.
  2. Subcontractor Management: Ensure seamless coordination with project teams.
  3. Procurement: Source and manage subcontractors, materials, and services.
  4. Delivery and Change Management: Implement and manage changes to projects, ensuring alignment with Profit Take and Revenue Recognition Rules.
  5. Payments through to Final Account: Ensure timely and accurate payments to subcontractors and suppliers.
  6. Project CVRs: Support the Cost Value Reconciliation (CVR) process, ensuring alignment with Profit Take and Revenue Recognition Rules.
  7. Upstream Change Management: Manage upstream changes from Early Warning Notices (EWNs) to full implementation.
Requirements:
  1. Experience: Main contractor experience, ideally with a strong track record in similar roles.
  2. NEC Contract Knowledge: Familiarity with the NEC process for managing changes from start to finish.
  3. Change Management: Proven experience in managing subcontractor procurement, management, and final accounts.
  4. Commercial Reporting: Comfortable with the CVR/reporting process, with some initial support if needed.
  5. Subcontractor Competence: Proven experience in managing subcontractor procurement, management, and final accounts.
