About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Building Surveyor to join our team at Workman LLP. As a key member of our Building Consultancy team, you will be responsible for delivering a wide range of services including contract and project work, dilapidation's, and fire safety.

You will work closely with our clients, including institutional fund management clients, landlords, consultants, and tenants, to provide expert advice and support on their property assets.

Key clients include Columbia Threadneedle, Hammerson, M&G, Lansec, BlackRock, and Federated Hermes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage multiple building surveying instructions simultaneously for a range of key clients.
  • Deliver high-quality services, including schedules of dilapidation's, pre-acquisition surveys, due diligence, development monitoring, defect diagnosis, fire safety advice, and schedules of condition reports.
  • Work closely with landlords and tenants to ensure you are advising and delivering on the most environmental and sustainable methods and materials.
  • Develop a strategic view on the lifecycle of the property asset and understand the clear objectives of the client brief.
  • Be available and present to assist in opportunities in the business and be keen to progress your career.
  • Motivate and manage a small team of surveyors from apprentice, graduate, and surveyor levels, helping to support their further studies.

Requirements

We are looking for a proactive, practical, and positive approach to work, with excellent and professional communication skills. You will be an MRICS chartered surveyor with commercial property experience in a similar consultancy.

Salary £55,000-£65,000
