Assistant Operations Manager Job Description

OBM People is seeking an experienced Assistant Operations Manager to join our team at Teesworks, Middlesborough.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the delivery of operational service requirements and improvements to achieve performance and financial targets.
  • Support performance with communication, planning, and reviews.
  • Provide direct operations leadership to support night operations at the SBQ.
  • Collaborate with the HSSEQ department to ensure continuous improvement of safety and environmental performance and compliance.
  • Use Power BI to report KPIs and build monthly reports.
  • Identify opportunities for growth and report significant breaches of policy and/or regulation.
  • Contribute to financial planning and budgetary control, inventory control, and disposal cost effectiveness.
  • Develop and execute business plans with a focus on profit growth.
  • Perform ad-hoc responsibilities as requested by the Operations Manager.
Requirements:
  • UK Driving Licence.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with flexibility to adapt to changing workloads and priorities.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Computer literate with well-developed IT skills across the Microsoft suite.
