Job Title: Head of Supply Chain Operations

Location: Remote (with travel across the UK)

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced leader to oversee and optimize our multi-site supply chain network. As the Head of Supply Chain Operations, you will be responsible for managing complex supply chains, working closely with cross-functional teams, and driving operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • End-to-End Supply Chain Management: Oversee the entire supply chain process, from managing international suppliers and freight operations to local warehousing and final-mile delivery.
  • Multi-Site Warehouse Operations: Manage multiple warehouse locations, ensuring efficient storage, picking, and distribution processes.
  • 3PL and Freight Management: Build strong relationships with 3PL providers and freight partners, negotiating contracts and optimizing external storage costs.
  • Transport and Logistics: Oversee transport operations, ensuring timely and cost-effective deliveries to both B2B and D2C customers.
  • Health & Safety Compliance: Maintain compliance with health and safety regulations across all logistics and warehouse sites.
  • KPI Development and Monitoring: Implement and monitor KPIs across the supply chain to drive performance improvements.
  • Leadership and Team Development: Lead and mentor the supply chain team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

  • On-time delivery rate to B2B and D2C customers
  • Warehouse efficiency (picking accuracy, order processing time, etc.)
  • Cost control for freight and storage
  • Supplier performance (lead time adherence, quality, etc.)
  • Health & Safety compliance (incident rates, audit scores)

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in senior supply chain management, preferably in multi-site operations
  • Strong knowledge of international supply chain logistics, including sea freight and long lead times
  • Experience managing 3PL and freight partnerships
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Analytical mindset with experience using KPIs to drive efficiency
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations in a logistics environment
  • Ability to balance supply, demand, and cash flow efficiently
