Commissioning Editor Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Commissioning Editor to join our team at a globally renowned publishing company. As a Commissioning Editor, you will be responsible for acquiring and developing books aimed at professional, MBA, and Executive Education audiences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Commission and develop books for the business market
  • Build and maintain relationships with authors, agents, and other stakeholders
  • Work closely with internal teams to ensure successful book launches
  • Manage author contracts and negotiate terms
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments

Requirements:

  • Strong editorial experience in the business publishing market
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Good digital skills, including Biblio and eBook management
  • Knowledge of XML workflow systems
