Job Title: Diesel Plant Mechanic

We are seeking an experienced and motivated individual to join our team as a Diesel Plant Mechanic at AC Automation, a leading power generation company in Northern Ireland.

About the Role:

As a Diesel Plant Mechanic, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing diesel generators across our customers' sites in Northern Ireland. Your duties will include:

  • Planned and preventative maintenance tasks
  • General servicing
  • Reactive maintenance
  • Carrying out standard diagnosis tests of generators/components to establish faults
  • Engine repairs and overhauls
Requirements:

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • Experience as a time-served mechanic or technician with a plant background or similar industry (generator experience desirable but not essential)
  • Apprentice-trained, or minimum 5 years' experience in a quality service environment within a similar industry
  • Ability to work on your own and work overtime when required
  • Full driving license
