Learning Support Teacher

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Learning Support Teacher to join our team as a SEMH Education Specialist. This part-time role involves delivering English and Maths tuition to Key Stage 3 students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
Responsibilities- Deliver tailored learning plans to meet the specific needs of each student, focusing on academic support and guidance to help them achieve their educational goals.
- Collaborate with school staff and parents to ensure a holistic approach to student development, promoting effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Assess student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly, using specialist knowledge of teaching English and Maths at Key Stage 3 level.
The ideal candidate will possess Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), a Bachelor's degree in Education or related field, and experience working with students with SEMH needs. A postgraduate qualification in Special Educational Needs (SEN) or related field is highly desirable, along with additional training in behaviour management techniques.
Additional Information- This part-time role offers flexibility to meet student needs, with work taking place in a learner's home or community setting.
- Candidates must demonstrate a strong understanding of SEMH and its impact on learning, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
