Buyer - Elevation Recruitment Group

Elevation Recruitment Group is seeking a skilled Buyer to support the Senior Buyer in ensuring all procurement activities align with business needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Procure raw materials and components for capital projects in a timely and cost-effective manner.
  • Manage purchase requisitions for capital equipment and aftermarket, adhering to company financial procedures and ensuring output accuracy.
  • Expedite outstanding purchase orders according to schedules, notifying the Senior Buyer and Project Manager of any potential delays.
  • Confirm receipt and acknowledgment of purchase orders by suppliers, maintaining accurate delivery dates in the ERP system.
  • Negotiate with suppliers to secure cost savings through agreements, schedules, rebates, and discounts.
  • Develop proactive relationships with suppliers to meet deadlines.
  • Liaise with suppliers to obtain necessary certifications for all departments.
  • Follow the NCR process for non-conforming components to secure replacements or credits and work with suppliers on root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Evaluate and provide feedback on supplier performance against delivery and quality KPIs.
  • Manage the stock control system to ensure value-added services.

Requirements:

  • Strong procurement skills and experience in a similar role.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office.
