Procurement Specialist

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Specialist to join our dynamic team at Spirax-Sarco Engineering. As a key member of our procurement function, you will play a critical role in ensuring the timely and cost-effective delivery of goods and services to support our business operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and coordinate the procurement process for various categories of goods and services, including raw materials, equipment, and services.
- Negotiate with suppliers to secure the best possible prices and terms, while ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including production, engineering, and quality teams, to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
- Identify and implement opportunities for cost savings, process improvements, and supplier rationalization.
- Manage and maintain accurate records of procurement activities, including purchase orders, invoices, and contracts.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement strategic sourcing initiatives.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, market conditions, and regulatory requirements to ensure compliance and competitiveness.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in procurement or a related field, with a strong understanding of procurement principles and practices.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and implement opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
