About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Procurement Specialist to join our dynamic team at Watson-Marlow Fluid Technology Solutions. As a key member of our procurement function, you will play a critical role in ensuring the timely and cost-effective delivery of goods and services to support our business operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Procure goods and services from a range of suppliers, negotiating prices and lead times to meet business needs.
- Manage and maintain accurate records of procurement activities, including purchase orders, invoices, and contracts.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers, ensuring excellent service and quality.
- Monitor and report on procurement metrics, including spend analysis and supplier performance.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in procurement, applying knowledge to drive continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Proven experience in procurement or a related field, with a strong understanding of procurement principles and practices.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and experience with procurement software.
