About the Company:

Electus Recruitment Solutions designs and manufactures environmental monitoring equipment used for research and pollution monitoring in water across various industries such as green shipping, marine science, agriculture, and defence.

Responsibilities:

  • Design authority for all electronic, software, and mechanical design activities
  • Support the Director of Engineering in management of design and development projects by undertaking some project management tasks as well as bid and business development work
  • Assign tasks to the Mechanical Design team, set project goals, negotiate with vendors and clients, ensuring projects stay within time and budgetary restraints

Requirements:

  • A degree in Mechanical Engineering (2.1 or higher) or equivalent with experience working as a mechanical design engineer in a high-technology engineering environment
  • A sound understanding of engineering disciplines (mechanical, electronic, and software understanding) with expertise in mechanical design
  • Project management skills - an ability to plan and allocate budgets and resources
  • Experience of developing and leading a design team
