ACES is a pioneering provider of NHS ophthalmic care in the community. We deliver high-quality clinical eye care with expert consultant ophthalmologists prioritizing patient care.

We offer an alternative to NHS waiting lists for cataract surgery, providing patients with life-changing treatment in as little as four weeks.

Our services include cataract surgery, YAG laser treatment, glaucoma treatment, oculoplastics, and general ophthalmology.

Current Challenges

Tens of thousands of patients across the UK are on NHS waiting lists for essential eye care procedures. Delays can lead to deteriorating eyesight or adverse events due to poor vision.

At ACES, we empower patients to choose their eye care options, ensuring quicker access to treatment and improved quality of life.

The Role

This hands-on position involves varied responsibilities:

  • Scrub assistant
  • Anaesthetic assistant
  • Pre-operative assessments
  • Prepare patients for cataract treatment and perform pre-screening diagnostic duties.
  • Discharge patients with after-care advice and medications

Candidates must be NMC or HCPC registered with prior Theatre or scrub experience.
