Job Description

Five Education Recruitment Limited is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teacher to join our team. As a Teacher for Children with ASD, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality education to a small class of secondary-age children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and other special needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement effective lesson plans tailored to the needs of children with ASD and other special needs.
  • Provide a supportive and inclusive learning environment that fosters academic and personal growth.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and effective education program.
  • Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to keep them informed of their child's progress.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience as a Secondary Education Specialist or similar role.
  • Strong understanding of Autism-friendly teaching methods and strategies.
  • Ability to adapt to the needs of children with varying learning styles and abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Right to work in the UK (valid visa).
  • At least two recent child-based references and relevant DBS/Police checks.
What We Offer:
  • A competitive daily rate of pay (£120.00*), with potential for increase based on experience.
  • Free specialized training in areas such as Team Teach, Makaton, PMLD/SLD Awareness, and Autism Awareness.
  • Free DBS (refunded after 5 days of work).
  • Specialist support and mentoring while working.
