Cardiac Physiologist

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Cardiac Physiologist/Clinical Scientist to join our expanding team at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing expert care to patients undergoing invasive cardiology procedures, including device implantation and electrophysiology studies.
Main Responsibilities- Provide expert care to patients undergoing invasive cardiology procedures, including device implantation and electrophysiology studies.
- Work as an independent practitioner in cardiac device implantation and follow-up, as well as invasive cardiology.
- Participate in the operational management of the service, supporting the Head of Cardiac Implantable Devices.
- Develop and maintain expertise in cardiac electrophysiology, including simple and complex electrophysiology studies.
- Participate in the quality management programme, maintaining and improving the high standards of the department through service development.

Person Specification- Essential:
- BSc in Clinical Physiology (Cardiology), BSC Healthcare Science Cardiac Physiology (PTP), MSc Cardiac Science (STP) or equivalent academic achievement ratified by RCCP/ACHS.
- Evidence of continuing professional development and proficiency in accordance with RCCP/ACHS/HCPC guidelines.
- British Heart Rhythm accreditation, IBHRE, EHRA or equivalent in Cardiac Implantable Devices.
- Desirable:
- Teaching or assessing qualification.
- Leadership and management qualification.
- British Heart Rhythm accreditation or equivalent in Cardiac Electrophysiology.
