Cardiac Physiologist Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Cardiac Physiologist to join our expanding team at University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust. As a Cardiac Physiologist, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our cardiac services.
Key Responsibilities- Provide and support a wide variety of both invasive and non-invasive procedures in our 4 busy cardiac catheter labs and outpatient's department.
- Work as an independent practitioner in basic cardiac diagnostic/interventional areas, with training and support provided to develop in more specialised or complex procedures.
- Be actively involved in the following areas of practice:
- Simple and complex device implant, follow up and extraction including pacemakers, ICD's, CRT, S-ICD, leadless and conduction system pacing.
- Structural Intervention including TAVI, Mitraclip, Valvuloplasty, ASD/VSD/PFO closure, other percutaneous congenital interventions and left atrial appendage occlusions.
- Cardiac catheterisation & PCI
- Non-invasive cardiology including CPEX & exercise testing and ambulatory monitoring.
- A degree in Clinical Physiology / Healthcare Science (Cardiac Physiology) / Masters in Cardiac Clinical Science or equivalent academic achievement ratified by RCCP/AHCS.
- Evidence of continuing professional development and proficiency in accordance with RCCP/AHCS/HCPC guidelines.
- Registration with RCCP (Registration Council Clinical Physiologists)/AHCS (Academy of Healthcare Science) or HCPC (Health & Care Professions Council) is desirable.
- Immediate Life Support Qualification.
- BHRS Certificate in Devices/EP or working towards.
