Job Summary

Lane Clark & Peacock LLP is seeking a skilled Data Scientist to join our team and contribute to our short-term energy forecasting efforts. The successful candidate will have existing energy market forecasting experience and be able to lead the way on developing our new data science forecasts.

This is an exciting opportunity to work with our in-house databases and leverage your skills in Python to drive business growth and improvement.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain data science applications using our in-house databases.
  • Collaborate with our energy full-stack developers and consultants to ensure seamless integration.
  • Stay up-to-date with developments in machine learning and data science techniques.
Requirements
  • Strong knowledge of Python and experience working with various machine learning models.
  • At least 4 years of experience in the energy industry, with a focus on short-term power market forecasting.
  • Desirable skills include GitHub or Azure DevOps knowledge, SQL expertise, and excellent communication skills.
