Job Description

We are seeking a Long-Term Power Analysis Expert to join our team at Shell Energy Europe & Environmental Products. As a key member of our Long-Term Power Analysis team, you will be responsible for developing in-depth understanding of power market fundamentals and providing strategic insights to support business decisions.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a talented individual with experience in power system analysis software and packages (e.g., Plexos, Aurora, EPSI) to join our dynamic team. You will work closely with short, mid-term, and long-term natural gas and power analysts to develop forward pricing views and monitor market developments in market design/regulatory issues that could impact prices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver a very long-term market view for strategic projects and use fundamental analysis techniques to support Shell group decisions.
  • Research and understand the fundamental drivers related to supply/demand/transmission in the context of long-term modelling focused on developing forward pricing views.
  • Monitor market developments in market design/regulatory issues that could impact prices.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Significant experience in Power Fundamentals with knowledge of energy economics.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, both written and oral.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Economics, or any related degrees.
  • Demonstrated understanding of power fundamentals.

The estimated salary for this position is around €80,000-€110,000 per year, depending on location and experience. We offer a range of benefits, including flexible working arrangements and opportunities for professional development.
