Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Long-Term Power Market Analyst to support our finance, investments, and strategy departments with in-depth analysis of the European energy market. This role requires a strong understanding of key drivers such as generation, transmission, regulatory, and demand.

The ideal candidate will have significant experience in Power Fundamentals, with expertise in power system analysis software, energy economics, and the European Energy Markets. Excellent numerical and analytical skills, as well as exceptional communication and presentation skills, are essential for this position.

Salary: £80,000 - £110,000 per annum, depending on experience.

  • This position involves developing a very long-term market view for strategic projects and using fundamental analysis techniques to support Shell group decisions.
  • You will research and understand the fundamental drivers related to supply/demand/transmission in the context of long-term modelling focused on developing forward pricing views.
  • Maintain awareness of market developments in market design/regulatory issues that could impact prices.
