This is an exciting opportunity for a Property Lawyer to join a forward-thinking legal practice in Carlisle, where your skills will be valued, and career progression actively encouraged.
Key Responsibilities:- Client Communication: Communicate with clients, estate agents, mortgage lenders, and other third parties regularly via phone, email, and in-person meetings. Provide regular updates and ensure accurate record-keeping throughout the conveyancing process.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, including Anti-Money Laundering (AML) regulations, CQS protocols, and SRA standards. This will include the preparation and review of necessary documentation in line with legal and compliance frameworks.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other team members, including legal assistants and paralegals, to ensure the smooth running of transactions and that all matters are handled efficiently and to a high standard.
To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate technical competence in conveyancing and a commitment to delivering excellent client service. The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of experience in residential property law, with a proven ability to manage their own caseload.
Essential Requirements:- A minimum of 1 year's experience in residential conveyancing, ideally within a busy legal practice.
- Technical knowledge of the conveyancing process from start to finish, including sales, purchases, transfers, and remortgages.
- Familiarity with compliance standards, including AML, CQS, and SRA regulatory requirements.
- Competent use of MS Office programs and the ability to quickly learn new case management software.
- Competitive salary, £30,000 - £42,000 DOE.
