Job Role Overview

The main role of this position is to provide support to students in accessing the curriculum and ensuring their welfare. The ideal candidate will be expected to embody the service's vision, values, and purpose, prioritizing the needs of service users. This role aims to improve the education and lives of pupils.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Transport students to and from College premises, utilizing public transport when necessary.
  • Support students with complex needs, including intimate personal care and challenging behavior.
  • Participate in relevant training, such as medication dispensing, first aid, and managing challenging behavior.
  • Provide additional support to tutors or students experiencing difficulties, enabling them to participate in timetabled sessions.
  • Monitor the physical appearance of the College site, including litter picking, weeding, and cleaning toilets as requested.
