About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Portfolio Manager to join our Datacenter Integration team at Microsoft. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Regional Director with the coordination, tracking, and management of projects across Europe, Middle East, and Africa.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the establishment of project and programme governance, processes, and systems to be utilised throughout the portfolio.
  • Propose and support the implementation of programme performance and continuous improvement solutions across the portfolio.
  • Tracking and reporting of KPIs and business OKRs to inform strategic programme improvement.
  • Support the delivery of change and transformation projects that will support delivery teams to deliver improved impact.
  • Support the implementation of schedule, risk, change, cost, and quality management process across the portfolio.
  • Advising and planning for the ongoing management of quality, safety, health, and environment issues.
  • Ensure adequate tools are in place to track and monitor the progress of projects within the portfolio.
  • Data analysis of project data to inform the development and improvement of tools, processes, and procedures.
  • Develop monthly and bi-weekly reports including lookaheads to highlight critical upcoming milestones and associated risks to the team.
  • Support effective portfolio risk management including the tracking, managing, and escalation of top risks.
  • Work closely with partner teams to ensure effective support to ITIMs in relation to procurement, costs, and Business Operations.
  • Monitor the end-to-end delivery of projects to ensure projects are executed according to the quality management process.
  • Support the team with operations management covering core activities such as external staff onboarding, budget planning, resource planning, etc.
