About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant with a specialism in Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) to join our vibrant and inclusive primary school community in Brent. As an ASD Specialist, you will play a vital role in supporting children with autism across both Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, working closely with teachers and other support staff to ensure each student has the tools they need to succeed academically and socially.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide tailored support for students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.
  • Implement individualised learning plans to address students' specific needs and help them develop academically, emotionally, and socially.
  • Work closely with the class teacher to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Assist with social skills development and behavior management.
  • Encourage independence and help students build self-confidence in their abilities.
Requirements
  • Experience working with children with ASD, preferably within a primary school setting.
  • A calm, patient, and empathetic approach to supporting children with SEN.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Passion for helping children with special needs thrive in an educational setting.
  • Relevant qualifications or experience in SEN support are desirable but not essential.
