With excellent facilities, a strong sense of community, and a dedicated staff, this school is the perfect place to make a meaningful difference. You will be working with passionate educators who believe in the potential of every child, no matter their needs. The school’s commitment to inclusivity is evident through its robust Special Educational Needs (SEN) program, and as an ASD Specialist, you’ll be a vital part of this mission. Located in a convenient and accessible area, the school is well-connected by public transport, with great links to the surrounding community.

About the role:

As an SEN Teaching Assistant with a specialism in Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), you will play a crucial role in supporting children with autism across both Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2. You’ll work closely with teachers and other support staff to ensure each student has the tools they need to succeed, both academically and socially. This is a rewarding, hands-on role where you’ll build strong, trusting relationships with students, helping them overcome challenges and celebrate successes. Whether you’re working one-on-one or in small groups, your focus will be on creating a calm, structured environment that enables students to reach their full potential.

Application Requirements:

• Experience working with children with ASD, preferably within a primary school setting.

• A calm, patient, and empathetic approach to supporting children with SEN.

• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.

• Passion for helping children with special needs thrive in an educational setting.

• Relevant qualifications or experience in SEN support are desirable but not essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide tailored support for students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.

• Implement individualised learning plans to address students’ specific needs and help them develop academically, emotionally, and socially.

• Work closely with the class teacher to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.

• Assist with social skills development and behavior management.

• Encourage independence and help students build self-confidence in their abilities.

Perks and Benefits:

You’ll enjoy a supportive, friendly school environment with a strong sense of community, along with ongoing professional development opportunities to grow your skills in SEN education. The role offers a competitive daily rate of £85-£100 and the chance to work in a school that truly values diversity and inclusivity, where your contribution is key to creating a positive and enriching experience for all students. Conveniently located in Brent with excellent public transport links, you’ll also have the opportunity to collaborate with experienced SEN professionals and a dedicated teaching staff. This fulfilling role allows you to make a real impact by shaping the futures of children with Autism Spectrum Disorder in a school that values each child’s unique journey.
