Role Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Assistant to join our team, working closely with students aged 5-19 who have social, emotional struggles, profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD) and complex needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide tailored support to students in their learning, development, and progress across all areas of the curriculum.
- Assist students with personal and educational goals, particularly those with profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD) and complex needs.
- Promote an environment that values equality, diversity, and respect for all.
- Play a proactive role in fostering a positive learning environment, supporting students in developing confidence and independence.
- Participate in physical intervention and personal care routines as required.
- Collaborate with a dedicated team to ensure the best outcomes for students, focusing on their transition into adult life.
Requirements
- Educated to at least Level 2 in Maths and English (or equivalent).
- Committed to safeguarding and promoting the well-being of all students.
- Effective communicators, both in team settings and when working independently.
- Willing to support outdoor and community-based learning activities.
