Infrastructure Systems Engineer

MERITUS is seeking a highly skilled Infrastructure Engineer to join their team in Gloucestershire. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining Windows and Linux systems, including on-prem, virtualised, and cloud hosted solutions.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Windows and Linux administration, as well as experience with automation and IaC tools such as Ansible and Terraform. Exposure to Docker and Kubernetes is highly beneficial.
The role offers a competitive salary of £65,000 - £85,000, plus benefits including private medical insurance, enhanced pension scheme, and annual bonus. The company operates a hybrid working environment with 2-3 days per week on-site.
Key responsibilities:
- Designing and building Windows and Linux systems
- Maintaining and troubleshooting IP Network systems
- Automating services and tasks using IaC and configuration management
- Building and supporting critical secure infrastructure
Requirements:
- Active security clearance
- Experience in Windows and Linux systems administration
- Experience with automation and IaC tools
- Experience supporting cloud hosted infrastructure
- Exposure to Docker and Kubernetes
