The Role of a Business Development Director
As a key member of our leadership team, you'll play a pivotal role in driving daily sales by employing innovative sales strategies. Your responsibilities will include supporting new and existing customers, providing expert advice on our products to ensure they have the right tools for their projects. You'll build strong relationships with customers, upsell effectively, and foster ongoing loyalty.
Working Hours
Your working pattern will be Monday to Friday, 7:30am to 5:30pm, and Saturday, 8:00am to 1:00pm.
Skills and Qualifications Required
- Proven experience in construction products or equipment, with a track record in a managerial or supervisory role within a similar industry
- A proactive attitude, representing HSS Hire Group on-site and focused on achieving store targets
- Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed performance goals, prioritize tasks, and deliver results with a solution-focused approach
- Commitment to continuous learning, staying up-to-date with product knowledge and market trends
- Sales-driven mindset, always seeking opportunities to go above and beyond for customers, engaging with them in-store to boost sales and ensuring seamless experiences
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
What Does This Role Involve?
- Lead the branch sales team by setting a strong example, implementing effective sales campaigns and strategies to drive performance and consistently exceed targets
- Foster a collaborative spirit among colleagues, ensuring smooth cooperation within your branch
- Regularly assess team performance, identifying areas for development and taking proactive steps to support growth
- Stay attuned to current trends and customer preferences, ensuring products are marketed effectively to resonate with customers
- Aim to surpass weekly and monthly sales targets
- Monitor sales figures and key marketing metrics to track performance
- Analyze business trends to identify opportunities for growth
- Maintain a competitive edge by staying informed about competitors and market developments
- Provide outstanding support to customers, ensuring high levels of service at every interaction
