Transformative Leadership Opportunity

The Royal Shakespeare Company is seeking a visionary Development Director to spearhead significant growth in philanthropic and supporter income. Reporting to the Executive Director, this role will play a pivotal part in developing a long-term sustainable financial model for the Company.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of a comprehensive fundraising strategy to enhance support regionally, nationally, and internationally.
  • Oversee the relationship with the independent US charity RSC America and maximise opportunities provided by the RSC's globally recognised brand.
  • Recruit and renew a wide range of donors, sponsors, and partners, combining ambitious fundraising with flawless stewardship.
  • Experience of membership and/or patron schemes, sponsorship, and partnerships, with a track record of success in major gifts, trust, and foundation funding.
