About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Technician to join our Engineering Team at our Portbury production facility in Bristol. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our production facility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Comply with health and safety policies and regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Resolve breakdowns, perform routine maintenance, and work on projects to minimize production downtime.
  • Conduct risk assessments and implement controls to minimize risks to acceptable levels.
  • Lock off dangerous machinery and repair or notify as necessary.
  • Actively seek to undertake preventive maintenance on offline machinery.
  • Complete PM sheets with observations, jobs completed, and recommendations, and file with the Maintenance Planner.
  • Gain information from production personnel to speed up fault-finding processes.
  • Ensure engineering logs and computer systems are up-to-date with relevant information.
  • Communicate with external persons in a professional manner that reflects the company profile.
Requirements
  • HNC, City & Guilds, or time-served apprentice with relevant engineering qualifications.
  • Experience in a similar role, preferably in a food manufacturing environment.
  • Electrically or multi-skilled, with PLC experience highly desirable.
  • Hydraulic and pneumatic systems experience highly desirable.
  • Flexible approach with a positive 'can-do' attitude.
  • Experience with SAP highly desirable.
