About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our team as a Healthcare Assistant in the Emergency Department of University Hospital Wishaw. As a key member of our department, you will provide exceptional patient care and administrative support to ensure the smooth running of our reception area.
As a first point of contact for patients, relatives, and visitors, you will provide a friendly, respectful, and efficient service either face-to-face or over the phone. You will also be responsible for answering patient enquiry calls and redirecting them as necessary.
The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. They will also possess a good understanding of data protection principles and be able to maintain confidentiality at all times.
In addition to your administrative duties, you will be required to undertake scanning tasks to ensure the quality of electronic patient records.
About the Benefits
We offer a competitive salary of £18,000 - £22,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits including a minimum of 27 days annual leave, 8 public holidays, and membership of the NHS Pension Scheme.
