About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Personal Care Assistant to join our client's support package in Rosson Wye, Herefordshire. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality care and support to our client, who requires complex assistance with daily living tasks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with medication management, including administering medication and monitoring dosage
  • Provide support with catheter care and bladder washouts
  • Help with moving and handling using a hoist, ensuring safe transfer and positioning of the client
  • Support the client with personal care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Accompany the client to appointments and social outings, providing transportation as needed
Requirements:
  • A minimum of 1 year's experience in care work, preferably with clients requiring complex needs
  • An enhanced DBS disclosure is required for this role, which will be arranged by HomeCareDirect at no cost to the candidate
  • A full UK driving license and willingness to use a vehicle for work purposes
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records
