Your New Role:

We are recruiting for a dedicated Train Presentation Team Leader to join our train maintenance centre in Stoke Gifford, Bristol. In this exciting new role, you will be responsible for the management and leadership of the Train Presentation team on shift to ensure delivery of the Train Presentation Class 800/802 fleets standards, safe entry and exit of staff to trains in cleaning locations, and communication with operations teams to ensure the safe movement of trains.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Compliance with regards to all cleaning activities as required in the TSA Contract.
  • Responsible for the ongoing management of the depot-based cleaning teams.
  • Responsible for the ongoing management of the shift Train Presentation Supervisors.
  • Manage contracted cleaning activities for the GWR Hitachi fleets as required.
  • Daily management of the KPI cleaning regime and associated KPI reporting.
  • Develop a strong working relationship with stakeholders and continuously improve train cleaning standards.
  • To actively support company equality, diversity and inclusion policies.
  • Ensure cleaning teams have a sufficient stock of materials and chemicals to enable them to efficiently carry out their duties.
  • Actively take part in HSE and quality audits.
  • Report any issues with contractors to the TP Manager.
  • Ensure teams and assets are moved around depots in a safe manner.
  • Work to create a culture of 'One Hitachi'.

About You:

Essential:

  • Experience of delivering cleaning standards to an efficient, high quality within a transport environment.
  • Knowledge and experience of heavy industrial vehicle cleaning practices.
  • Experience of waste management & recycling.
  • Excellent team management and communication skills.
  • Intermediate IT skills – typically Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook etc.

Qualifications:

  • Previous Line Management experience.

Desirable:

  • IOSH, COSHH, Manual handling.
  • Experience of working in a rail depot environment and at stabling out stations.
  • Use of SAP.
  • Management of Subcontractors.
