Role Summary:
Alexander Dennis Limited is seeking a skilled T&D Technician to join our team in Farnborough. As a key member of our Test and Development department, you will be responsible for electrical work and assisting with mechanical tasks in our purpose-built Test and Development facility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Expert fault finding and rectification on all electrical systems and CAN network harnesses.
- Work on both high and low voltage systems for EV and hybrid vehicles.
- Utilize laptop-based diagnostic software for engines, gearboxes, CAN, and vehicle systems.
- Build and modify harnesses from drawings (24V, High Voltage, and CAN).
- Conduct thorough fault finding and rectification.
- Maintain a solid understanding of vehicle harnesses and various termination components.
Requirements:
- Good knowledge and experience of automotive electrical and mechanical systems, ideally commercial vehicle experience.
- Able to read and understand electrical drawings and circuit diagrams.
- Able to record and update circuit diagrams.
- Experience with high voltage and CAN systems.
- Experience in fault finding and resolution.
- Experience with instrumentation and data logging equipment.
- Knowledge and ability to carry out mechanical tests.
- Good communicator (working with Electrical design, suppliers etc.).
