Crisis Support Specialist

At Catch22, we are seeking a skilled and compassionate Triage Caseworker to join our team. As a Triage Caseworker, you will play a vital role in providing support to victims and witnesses of crime, offering emotional and practical assistance to help them navigate the criminal justice system.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide initial support and guidance to victims and witnesses, ensuring they receive the necessary information and resources to aid their recovery.
- Manage a caseload of referred victims and witnesses, working collaboratively with a range of agencies to ensure a robust referral pathway is in place.
- Develop and maintain high-quality relationships with victims, empowering them to feel supported and informed throughout their support journey.
- Work closely with the Victim Service team to deliver high-quality restorative justice services, providing information and explaining the process and principles of restorative justice to victims and offenders.
- Have a broad understanding of criminal justice processes, including the ability to advise and guide victims in matters such as victim witness statements, court proceedings, and wider criminal justice system procedures.
- A confident, professional, and creative individual with a 'can-do' approach.
- Ability to build and manage relationships, share knowledge and skills to deliver shared goals.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence key stakeholders and retain confidentiality at all times.
- Good understanding of the needs of victims and witnesses and how the Victim Service can effectively address these needs.
- A competitive salary of £25,500 per annum.
- A full-time, 37.5 hours per week, permanent contract.
