About the Role
In this leadership position, you will be responsible for providing guidance and support to residential workers, ensuring the welfare and care of each child, and promoting positive relationships with children and their families. Your expertise will help create a safe and nurturing environment that fosters growth and development.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide leadership and supervision to residential workers, promoting high standards of care and practice.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans that meet the unique needs of each child.
• Foster strong relationships with children, parents, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay up-to-date with best practices in childcare and youth work.
• Contribute to the development of policies and procedures that promote child safety and well-being.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you must have:
• A relevant qualification, such as an NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Children's and Young People Workforce, or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of experience working in residential childcare, preferably in a leadership capacity.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with children, colleagues, and external partners.
• Ability to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins, as required.
