Job Details

A challenging opportunity for an experienced Contracts Manager to join a leading Civil Engineering Main contractor on a permanent basis in the Bristol area.

The successful candidate will lead an established team of engineers and have access to technical support from a Head Office with over 100 staff.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing projects from conception, design, planning, and construction
  • Creating construction price plans, weekly programmes, and progress meetings
  • Organizing and chairing regular and ad-hoc meetings with the internal team and client
  • Reviewing quotations from subcontractors alongside the QS
  • Managing all on-site teams to ensure programme delivery
  • Producing progress reports and representing the company at monthly project meetings
  • Supporting site managers with H&S and RAMS

This is a hands-on role requiring mentorship to the team. The ideal candidate should be able to work in the Bristol office at least 4 days a week to support and develop less experienced members of the team.

We are seeking someone with a Civil Engineering background and experience working on highways improvement schemes. A strong understanding of NEC4 contracts and operational experience are essential.

In return, the company offers a competitive salary of £50,000-£60,000 per annum, car allowance, discretionary annual bonus, dental cover, and genuine career progression opportunities.
