Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Chef to join our team at Compass Group UK. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality food to our clients and customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Food Preparation: Prepare and cook a variety of dishes to meet the needs of our clients and customers.
  • Menu Planning: Assist in planning and implementing menu changes to ensure a diverse and appealing range of options.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and support a team of chefs and kitchen staff to ensure efficient and effective food service.
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service to our clients and customers, responding to their needs and feedback.
  • Food Safety and Hygiene: Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in the kitchen, adhering to all relevant regulations and guidelines.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor and manage kitchen inventory to ensure that all necessary ingredients and supplies are available.
  • Kitchen Maintenance: Assist in maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to all health and safety standards.
Requirements:
  • Experience: Proven experience as a chef or in a similar role, with a strong understanding of food preparation and presentation.
  • Qualifications: Hold a City & Guilds or NVQ equivalent in culinary arts, or a similar qualification.
  • Skills: Excellent culinary skills, with a strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work effectively as part of a team, supporting and collaborating with colleagues to achieve shared goals.
  • Communication: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with colleagues, clients, and customers.
