Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Quantity Surveyor to join our client, a large Public Sector Organisation, in their search for an experienced professional to provide cost management services.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing cost management expertise for a diverse and geographically dispersed team of professionals, technical staff, and administrative personnel working on various Major and Minor projects within the Infrastructure and Capital Development Division.

Main Responsibilities:

  • To manage and develop projects as part of the portfolio of services outlined
  • To implement transformational change and develop structures, strategy, policy, procedures, and processes for these services
  • To ensure cost planning and delivery of Minor capital projects aligns with policy and complies with DE capital standards
  • To advise and support senior management in the development of the strategic direction for these services

Requirements:

  • A Degree or higher in Quantity Surveying
  • At least three years' post-qualification experience in providing a full range of Quantity Surveying services, or equivalent qualifications and experience
  • Demonstrable experience of successfully providing budget estimates or cost plans for construction projects
  • Demonstrable experience in the NEC or similar Suite of Contracts, including experience in assessing compensation events and preparing assessments for payment
