Teaching Assistant Role Overview:
TeacherActive is currently seeking a skilled Teaching Assistant to join our client's team in an Independent School. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and contributing to their educational development and progression.
Responsibilities:
- Delivering personalized teaching and differentiated lessons to students with SEND
- Providing one-to-one support to students, promoting social, emotional, and academic growth
- Collaborating with teachers and other professionals to develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
Requirements:
- Proven experience working with students with SEND as a Teaching Assistant or Learning Support Assistant
- Strong understanding of the National Curriculum and its application in SEND contexts
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
