About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Senior Care Assistant to join our team at Meallmore. As a Senior Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care and support to our residents, working closely with our Registered Nurses and Team Leaders to ensure the highest standards of care are met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Registered Nurse/Team Leader in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the holistic care needs of individuals using the service.
  • Provide and promote positive work areas and practices to ensure they are safe and conform to relevant standards, policies, and legislation.
  • Take an holistic approach in achieving outcomes in collaboration with all departments within the care service.
  • Collaborate with care staff in your department and wider teams.
  • Carry out personal care duties.
Requirements
  • Experience working as a care assistant/support worker or similar care setting is essential.
  • Working towards the qualification to meet SSSC registration requirements.
  • SVQ level 3 or above/equivalent in Social Services and Healthcare (as per SSSC guidelines) is desirable.
  • PDA/Equivalent in Supervision.
  • Communication and relationship-building skills.
  • A kind and caring nature.
