About the Role

As a Senior User Experience Researcher at WhatsApp, you will play a key role in shaping the future of our products and services. We are looking for an experienced researcher who can lead user research efforts to inform product decisions.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, design, and engineering, to identify research opportunities and develop research plans.
  • Design and execute end-to-end custom primary research studies using a wide range of methods, including surveys, interviews, and usability testing.
  • Analyze complex data sets to gain insights into user behavior and attitudes, and communicate findings effectively to stakeholders.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging research methodologies to continually improve research practices and approaches.
  • Prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines and delivering high-quality results under pressure.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, or Sociology, with 5+ years of experience in user research or a related field.
  • Proven track record of conducting rigorous, insightful user research that has informed product development and business strategy.
  • Expertise in statistical analysis methods, such as regression, ANOVA, and T-tests, and ability to apply these methods to real-world problems.
  • Experience designing and implementing surveys, as well as analyzing and interpreting survey data.
  • Familiarity with design thinking principles and ability to collaborate with designers to integrate research findings into product design.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in a relevant field, such as Human-Computer Interaction or Psychology.
  • Experience working in the tech industry, particularly in product development and user research.
  • Knowledge of industry-standard tools, such as R, SQL, STATA, and SPSS.
  • Familiarity with Agile project management methodologies and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary of $150,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience, as well as comprehensive benefits, including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
